Congratulations Robyn Watt for her recent win in the Over 80's Australian Women's Golf Champtionship held at Harrington Waters Gold Club.  And what a win it was!  Robyn won the Women's event by 17 shots and came 3rd in the men's division!

In addition to playing our beloved game, Robyn is a dedicated organizer and sponsor of the Annual Teapot Challenge and continues to support the expansion of women's golf throughout the District.

Congratulation Robyn and WELL DONE!

It's an exciting time in the NHDLGA Pennants!  On 30 May at Hawks Nest the top two teams in each Division will face off to determine the pennant winner.   This historic change was put into action based on inputs from clubs and is a fundamental change in deciding who wins the Division Pennants!

After lengthy deliberation and with much disappointment it has been decided to postpone all 3 rounds of the 2022 NDGA Junior Pennants.  These had been scheduled for Tuesday April 19 at Waratah GC; Wednesday April 20 at Muree GC and Thursday April 21 at Horizons GC.

Recent weather patterns have left a couple of our venues with insufficient opportunity and time to prepare the course (particularly mowing of rough) – suitable for a junior event.  Whilst it must be understood that there are very limited opportunities during the year’s program – we do intend to attempt to hold a junior pennant series – probably in October.

Entry forms will be re-sent to Clubs when details confirmed.  Please notify your juniors intending to play this week – of this postponement.  Apologies for any inconvenience

NDGA is happy to announce the start of the 2022 NDGA Junior Pennants program.   Format remains the same--handicap match play over 18, 9 or 6 holes depending on ability of the players.   All juniors and cadets welcome with or without a handicap!  Come as a single or get a team organised from your club.  Cost per player - FREE!!!   Presentation and food to follow matches.  Match schedule : Wed 13 April @ Muree 11am start.   Tues 19April @Waratah 9.30am start.  Thurs 21 April @ Horizons 10am start.  Need more information?  Contact Don Nelson, JPO for the NDGA.

Recent weather yet again disrupted the Ladies Pennant competition.   Due to course conditions, Round 1 of the 2022 season was postponed and rescheduled for 16 May.   Find the new draws on the pennant websites.

Carolyn Ramsey achieved a rare feat on February 16 during the daily competition at Horizons Golf Club when she recorded an eagle on the 344 meter, par 4 twelfth hole. Carolyn, a member at both Horizons and Pacific Dunes, selected her 7 wood for her second shot and struck it perfectly so the ball pitched just short of the green before rolling into the hole for her first ever eagle.  Her playing partners were as stunned as Carolyn when the ball disappeared into the hole for an eagle two, and worth five points in the Stableford competition.  Carolyn was able to maintain her composure and go on to win the daily event with 40 points, playing off her handicap of 16.  Congratulations Carolyn!
